The Tindall Foundation is a philanthropic family trust established in 1994 by Stephen and Margaret Tindall. Between 1995 and 2011, The Tindall Foundation has donated $100 million to community organisations and initiatives across New Zealand. In addition, it has paid over $90 million to the Government in prepaid tax.
The Tindall Foundation has taken a considered response to the continuing earthquakes in Canterbury, after wide consultation about the best ways to help. This resulted in prompt unconditional donations to our eight social service Funding Manager partners in Canterbury, along with quick responses to others helping people to recover and restore their lives, communities and environments. Over the next 2-4 years the Foundation will look to help social services agencies and selected initiatives to rebuild lives and communities. We have committed to donating a minimum of $5 million over the next 4 or so years.
